Unusual and Interesting Photos Part 3

1. Below each photo are suggestions for photographers. List 3 of the ones you think are the most important for photographers to remember when they are out shooting. I think it is important to make sure that there is no glare in the copy of the picture, also have a dark background with window lighting so that it looks good, also to have images that fit into the photo but make sure that it doesn't distract the main subject.
2. Pick your favorite painting, get a copy of it and post it on your blog.
3. Then go find a REAL photo that looks like your painting. DO NOT GET AN ACTUAL PHOTO OF THAT PAINTING, find a photo that copies the style of the painting, but is NOT the painting.
4. Did the photographer follow the suggestions fully? There are many other objects in the photo but also don't distract the main subject, and there is no glare.
5. Which style of painting do you think might influence you?  I mostly like photographs that aren't just photos, i want them to catch my eye or tell me a story just by looking at the picture.

2. How do you think he made these photos? He most likely took pictures at different angles and them merged them over each other, or  maybe edited the picture with photo shopping it in.

3 Think about some buildings you have seen, which ones would be good to take a photo like this? Tell me about those buildings, where are they, could you get easy access to them? The Statue of Liberty would be a really cool place to take a picture like this. It might not be as easy to access it but it would be a great photo and it is in New York.

Academics & Community Service Picture

1. Why did you pick this photo? This photo looks really simple and it tells a story, I love how simple and cool the picture looks.

2. What rules of photography are evident in the photo? I found that this picture shows simplicity, and balance. On the edge you can see that each side of the picture has book shelfs, that means the picture looks symmetrical. it also shows simplicity because it is focused on the boy with the books and it the simple floor as the background.

Finally - your next shoot will involve shooting academics, which means in classrooms around the campus.

1. Where do you think you could take photos like the ones you look at today? Most of them could be taken in classrooms or extracurricular places, or pep rallies.

2. Whose classroom would you like to visit and take photos in? Like a biology room because my teacher Mrs. Vohl has experiments for ecosystems with fish for the older classes and that could be cool for taking pictures.

3. What will you do, as the photographer, to get amazing photos like you look at today? I will take amazing photos by using the rules of photography and also getting action pictures at the perfect time.

Unethical Photos

I think this is the most unethical photo because it was really unnecessary to photo shop the women's teeth and pretend that she got a photo. I really can't see the reason why they decided to use this photo and photoshop it. I think this was a poor choice to use this photo.

I think this photo is least unethical because it is barely edited. It doesn't really have a change in the photo. I could see the reason that they edited it to darken it up a bit but, it doesn't look that bad. It wasn't really necessary to edit it but it doesn't look that obvious.

Manipulating Photos

A. Summarize the main points of the story in 2-4 sentences.
This story explains that editing and manipulating photos with photoshop can be wrong. Photoshop can be bad with adding images and making it obvious. In this case they weren't so happy with the way that they photoshopped picture. They sent photos into the newspaper but since they were photoshopped. The main point of this story was the way that they used photos hoping made the photograph ooh bad.

B. Explain why you think this type of photo editing is unethical or acceptable. I think that this type of photo editing is unethical. It is definitely wrong to use it to make the photo look different when it is fine just the way the photo was. Instead the people in the story edited the photo so it made the photo false or fake.
